Wroclaw, Poland - Part 4

Odds and Ends

Scenes from around town

This will wind up our trip to Wroclaw. We went there for the Christmas Market but soon discovered so much more of this city's history and character.

The Christmas Market was a great event and definitely worth traveling to see. Walking through the cobblestone streets at night, past the rows of stalls, was unforgettable. And add to that the crisp winter air, the beautiful lights, decorations and the overall festive atmosphere and you will have a very memorable experience. Here are some of the many sights we saw throughout the city.

Amazing Architecture and More

The Military Museum

The Military Museum is a division of the City Museum. It is located in the City Arsenal Building (15th century). The Archaeological Museum is also in the same building and also has interesting displays. The military displays include all types of weapons including many guns, uniforms and an entire room devoted to helmets (The Jacek Kijak Room). If you are in Wroclaw, it is definitely worth a visit.

I truly loved this trip. If you are looking for something a little different, I highly recommend it. I never thought I would enjoy traveling in the winter, but it turned out to be a truly wonderful and memorable experience.
